about

Vanessa “V” Steele’s work explores themes of identity and morality through uniquely textured compositions in monochromatic tones. Her practice is rooted in critical personal reflection and motivated by the persistent grappling of self-identity amidst health and relationship challenges. Through the cycle of layering and deconstructing, she creates a dynamic tension between presence and absence, inviting viewers to confront their own emotional landscapes and philosophies.
